About Us
Body Booting originated in the late 40's which was started by local hunters after the banning of Sinkbox Gunning. The namesake was acquired from the "Body Boots" the fisherman wore while hauling their seine nets. Hunters stood behind large goose and swan silhouettes, in shallow water, surrounded by large decoy spreads. These men known as Body Booters enjoyed some of the finest wing shooting our country had to offer. Today...except for the use of modern day equipment, this form of waterfowl hunting has changed little. The Susquehanna Flats, an approximately 15 square mile Delta at the head of the Chesapeake Bay, still holds large numbers of Canada Geese and several species of diving and puddle ducks. |
